Cookie Notice
Last updated: 3 October 2026
This notice explains how AfrikNexus Healthcare Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, and how you can control them. It should be read with our Privacy Notice.
1. What a cookie is
- 1.1A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit. It allows the website to recognise your device on a later page or a later visit. Similar technologies, such as pixels and local storage, work in comparable ways. In this notice “cookie” covers all of them.
2. Our approach to consent
- 2.1We use strictly necessary cookies for essential website functions, including remembering your cookie preferences. They remain active whether you accept or reject optional cookies. These cookies are used only where needed to provide the service or keep it secure, not for optional analytics or advertising. They do not require an optional analytics opt-in.
- 2.2When you first visit, we store a necessary preference cookie showing that your optional analytics choice is pending, and display the cookie banner. This pending value is not acceptance and contains no visitor identifier. Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics remain blocked until you select Accept optional. Selecting Reject optional keeps necessary cookies active and does not start either analytics service.
- 2.3You may reject optional cookies without affecting your ability to read this website or send an enquiry. Necessary security checks, including Cloudflare Turnstile on the enquiry form, remain available.
- 2.4You may change your optional analytics choice at any time using in this notice or in the footer of every page. If you withdraw acceptance, we disable future optional analytics loading, clear accessible Google Analytics cookies and reload the page to stop the previously loaded analytics code. Withdrawal does not remove data already lawfully collected.
3. The cookies we use
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | Category | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| afn_cookie_consent | This website | Records that your optional analytics choice is pending, accepted or rejected. A pending choice is not consent. An accepted or rejected choice prevents the banner appearing on every page | Strictly necessary | 365 days |
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one visitor from another so that we can count visits and see which pages are read | Analytics. Set only if you accept | Up to 24 months |
| _ga_6F49LDHQG5 | Google Analytics | Maintains the state of your visit so that pages viewed in one visit are counted together | Analytics. Set only if you accept | Up to 24 months |
- 3.1We use analytics to understand website usage in aggregate. Google cookies distinguish browsers and maintain visit state; we do not use that information to identify you by name or combine it with enquiry contents. Cookie duration is different from analytics data retention: Google user-level and event-level data are retained for 14 months, while standard aggregated reports are not subject to that limit.
Cloudflare services
Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use analytics cookies and loads only after Accept optional. Cloudflare Turnstile is separately used on enquiry forms for necessary spam protection. Its technical checks are not optional analytics and remain available after rejection. See Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Notice. We do not add a tracking identifier simply because necessary functions remain active.
4. Cookies we do not use
- 4.1We do not use advertising or targeting cookies. We do not use social media tracking pixels. We do not profile you across other websites, and we do not sell or share cookie data for advertising.
5. Third-party content and links
- 5.1The WhatsApp buttons on this website are links. Selecting one opens WhatsApp, which is operated by a third party under its own terms and privacy policy. No WhatsApp cookie is set on this website.
- 5.2Where this website links to any other third-party site, that site sets its own cookies under its own notice.
6. Managing cookies in your browser
- 6.1Independently of the choice you make on this website, your browser allows you to block cookies, to delete cookies already stored, and to be warned before a cookie is set. The settings are usually found under “Privacy”, “Cookies” or “Site data” in your browser menu.
- 6.2If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of this website may not work as intended, and you may be asked for your cookie choice on every page because the record of your choice cannot be stored.
7. Changes to this notice
- 7.1If we add, remove or change a cookie, we update this notice and, where your consent is required, we ask for it again. The date at the head of this notice shows when it was last updated.
8. Contact
- 8.1Questions about this notice may be sent to info@afriknexusltd.com.
